“ How about this? Let me tell you a little about Kate and how every time I take her class I walk away feeling accomplished, inspired and like a bad ass. I had never taken a real boxing class before taking Kate’s class - partially because I was intimidated, and I didn’t know the first thing about wrapping my hands, nor did I know anything about boxing. I had a lot to learn and Kate was (and still is) invested in helping me improve my technique. Thanks to Kate’s dedication I’m stronger and reaching my fitness goals. I encourage everyone to take her classes. She has an energy that is infectious!!! .”

“ Working with Kate Mensah has been two words: Life Changing. I’ve worked out my entire life and thought I was in pretty good shape and good health. So While planning for my wedding, I knew I wanted to look and feel even better than I ever have. I knew I needed to find a fitness program that will align with my goals; to promote health while also reducing body fat and increasing muscle mass. When I met with Kate to discuss my goals, I never felt pressured or insecure. Her friendly personality let me know that I could trust her with my fitness goals. Not only are her words assuring but this lady is a walking billboard of her work and dedication. You not only get a body makeover, you get a total brain transformation and an invigorating approach to life! I highly recommend Kate Mensah ♥️ .”

“ Dare I say Kate Mensah is my newest guilty pleasure?

That’s a lot for a woman who admits to running only when something scary is chasing her. Who made appointments with trainers because I couldn’t trust my drive to get up and get to a group class, whether yoga, spin…, without an appointment. That was until Kate’s boxing class.

I’ve known Kate personally for years as an incredible fashion designer, and dear friend. The first time I attended her boxing class I was intimidated, not sure I could manage. Following many surgeries I had a laundry list of what my body couldn’t do.

The thing is her class, much like Kate, on the surface may seem intimidating. Kate is in incredible shape, unbelievably beautiful, and driven. All of which are testimony to her passionate belief in people, mind-body-spirit health, nutrition, fitness, and above all fun. Her sense of humor, impressive breadth of knowledge, caring and supportive nature permeate all that she does.

Kate’s class is jam packed with technique. It pushed and inspired me. I was able to do what I could, and modify when needed. Trust me, it was a challenge, but a surprisingly fun one. Each week I’d strive to go further. After that first class I was hooked.

I began personal training sessions wanting more customization. Honestly it was my favorite time of the week. I returned to fitness following multiple major surgeries and cancer. I had a body that not only no longer looked as I wished, but worse no longer supported the life and activities I yearned for.

Kate took it all in and, through thoughtful application and modifications, tailored personal training sessions to my body and needs. Through boxing, yoga, and a hybrid yoga-weight training, I found I had increased strength, stamina and endurance. As well as improved mobility and balance. It was markedly witness by friends and family alike as I joined activates that beforehand would have been difficult if not impossible.

I simply cannot rave about Kate Mensah enough. She truly listens, smiles, encourages and pushes. She tolerated my sailor mouth and handled my resistances. I for one need that. She knew just how far she could take me, and thankfully did. She will push you to your limits and you’ll love every minute of it!

Sadly, I had to move away from Seattle. But you’d better bet I want to fly up every week to train with her. She is par none.”
